Watershed Academy
The Watershed Academy's distance learning program — Watershed Academy Web — is a set of self-paced training modules that represents a basic, but broad introduction to watershed management. This program's goal is to provide useful information to local, state and tribal efforts aimed at improving the health of our Nation's waters by protecting and managing their watersheds.

Safe Drinking Water Act
Protecting America’s drinking water is a top priority for EPA. EPA has established protective drinking water standards for more than 90 contaminants, including drinking water regulations issued since the 1996 amendments to the Safe Drinking Water Act that strengthen public health protection.  Over 92 percent of the population supplied by community water systems receives drinking water that meets all health-based standards all of the time.

Polyfluoroalkyl Substances (PFAS) Page
The EPA is leading the national effort to understand PFAS and reduce PFAS risks to the public. Per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS) are a group of synthetic chemicals that have been in use since the 1940s. PFAS are found in a wide array of consumer and industrial products. PFAS manufacturing and processing facilities, facilities using PFAS in production of other products, airports, and military installations are some of the potential contributors of PFAS releases into the air, soil, and water. Due to their widespread use and persistence in the environment, most people in the United States have been exposed to PFAS. There is evidence that continued exposure above specific levels to certain PFAS may lead to adverse health effects.
