Beginning in 2023, Stream Teams United launched the Missouri Watershed Champion video series, to highlight the people in Missouri who are taking positive actions on the land to benefit the quality of downstream waters. We all live in a watershed. The watershed is the area of land that drains precipitation to a certain creek, stream, river, lake, or wetland. Everyone who lives in a watershed can impact downstream waters – either in a positive way or in a negative way. Supported by a Section 319 nonpoint source grant from the Missouri Department of Natural Resources, we will feature five Missouri watershed champions this year. Join us, as we meet some of Missouri's watershed champions.
