In 2011, the Missouri Stream Team Watershed Coalition partnered with Ozarks Water Watch and Missouri State University to conduct an in-channel and GIS assessment of the Bull Creek watershed in Christian and Taney Counties. The purpose of the assessment was to identify stressors of the stream (lack of riparian habitat, pollution sources, etc.) and identify potential areas for restoration (streambank stabilization, riparian buffer planting, etc.). The project was funded from Missouri Department of Conservation "fish kill" grant funds, which originate from penalties assessed when pollution events kill fish in a Missouri waterway. The Bull Creek Watershed Assessment Report can be viewed here.
