Stream Teams United is currently sponsoring an AmeriCorps project, with the goal of expanding water education programs to benefit low-income youth and their communities. AmeriCorps position opportunities are in Kansas City, Columbia, St. Louis, Springfield, Howardville, Shelbyville, and at Maramec Spring Park. Member positions are for a 12-month term with option to stay additional years. AmeriCorps benefits include a living allowance, end-of-service award, and Non-Competitive Eligibility for employment with federal agencies. Sites recruiting for full time (12-month) AmeriCorps members include:
Missouri River Relief. The application period is open, and applications are due by July 10, 2023 for a August 28th start date. Housing Stipend Available. For the full-time position, Missouri River Relief offers an additional housing stipend of $583 per month, to be paid directly to the landlord or mortgage lending institution. Earlier or later start dates are possible depending on your schedule.
Maramec Spring Park, St. James, MO. The next anticipated start date for a full-time position is August 28, 2023. Earlier start dates are possible depending on your schedule. The application period is open and applications are due by July 19th for the August 28th start date.
Watershed Committee of the Ozarks, at The Watershed Center, Springfield, MO. The next anticipated start date for a full-time position is August 28, 2023. Earlier start dates are possible depending on your schedule. The application period is open and applications are due by July 19th for the August 28th start date.
James River Basin Partnership, Springfield, MO. The next anticipated start date for a full-time position is August 28, 2023. Earlier start dates are possible depending on your schedule. The application period is open and applications are due by July 19th for the August 28th start date. Also, a Summer Associate position is available during the summer of 2023, for and eight week period from June 12th through August 6th. The application deadline for the summer position is May 15th.
Little Blue River Watershed Coalition, Kansas City, MO. The next anticipated start date for a full-time position is August 28, 2023. Earlier start dates are possible depending on your schedule. The application period is open and applications are due by July 19th for the August 28th start date. The member will serve at the Anita B. Gorman Conservation Discovery Center in Kansas City.
Howardville Community Betterment - Howardville, MO. The next anticipated start date for a full-time position is August 28, 2023. Earlier start dates are possible depending on your schedule. The application period is open and applications are due by July 19th for the August 28th start date.

This AmeriCorps member will help develop water quality education in the Salt River watershed of northeast Missouri. The application period is closed at this time.
