Celebrate our great rivers and streams in Missouri with the 2020 #GreatRiversState photo contest!

When: April 3, 2020 to July 3, 2020. Let's share the best stream photos we have during this unique time in our lives!

Prizes: Awards will be given to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place photos as determined by our panel of judges. We will also award the "Most Popular" photo as decided by the number of "likes" on the original post of the photo. A "Little Trickle Award" will be given to the best photo submitted by a youth photographer (age 17 or younger). All award winners will receive tickets to the next Wild and Scenic film festival hosted by Stream Teams United in St. Louis (date TBA) and an apparel item from the Paddle MO on-line shop. The 1st place winner will also receive a weekend trip for 2 people for the Paddle MO Missouri River trip (Sept. 26-27, 2020, or next trip if needed). All winning photos will be displayed on the Stream Teams United website and at the next Wild and Scenic Film festival hosted by Stream Teams United. 

How to Enter: All submitted photographs must include a lotic Missouri waterway (river, stream, creek, spring, etc.), and that body of water must be the focus. The image may include people/animals/plants/boats/buildings. Post your picture on either Facebook or Instagram, tag Stream Teams United (@mostreamteam), and use the hashtag #GreatRiversState. The caption must include the name of the waterway featured in the image, the Missouri city or county in which the photo was taken, and the photographer’s name. If you want to be considered for the Little Trickle Award please include the child’s age.

Who is eligible to enter: Stream Teams United’s 2020 Great Rivers State Photo Contest is open to anyone except professional photographers, employees of Stream Teams United, all judges, and immediate families of contest judges (parents, children, siblings, spouse). Professional photographers are defined as individuals who make more than half their gross income from the service or sales of photography.

Example:  “Sunny day on the Finley River in Ozark, Missouri. Picture taken by me, Jane Doe, Part of the @mostreamteam photo contest! #GreatRiversState” or “Picture of Current River in Shannon County, taken by John Doe, age 14. @mostreamteam #GreatRiversState”. Enter on either Facebook or Instagram. *Only the original post’s number of likes will count towards the “Most Popular” award.
